Rainy Days

I took these pictures the last time we had a couple of rainy days. As you can tell, the boys are pretty bored and find anything they can to entertain themselves. Apparently art projects can only last for so long and then their off on their own imagination.

I don't know how long it took Christian to get both gloves on his hands at the same time. He must have tried over and over again for at least an hour. Once both gloves were on he was so proud of himself!

On rainy days on often take the boys to the local library for a longer period of time than we usually stay. After our last visit to the library we went to Piccadilly (not my choice of course) for lunch. Both Michael and Christian practically cleaned their plate. Man, they really love that place.

This is what happens when big brother gets to take a bath after splashing in the puddles. I might have been out of the bathroom for two minutes to put the wet clothes in the washing machine and this is what I see when I get back.

Family Fun

Here are some pictures from a recent family get together.

Yes, It Snowed in New Orleans!

WE HAD SNOW! REAL SNOW!

I'm not sure who was more excited about the snow - me or the kids! We had so much fun playing outside! I'm sure to people who see snow on a regular basis would have looked at us and thought we looked pretty silly, but since it rarely snows in New Orleans we took full advantage of this opportunity.

Happy Birthday Michael - He's Five!

Just look at my big boy! Just like all birthday celebrations in our family we let the birthday person decide on the special dinner and cake. Michael informed us that he wanted pizza for his special dinner and a Sponge Bob cake.

Happy New Year!

We had a wonderful time celebrating the New Year! We sent the evening at Michelle's house and popped some firecrackers! This was the first year that Michael really showed an interest in fireworks so Jason bought some ones that were pretty "kid friendly". It took a while for Christian to warm up to the idea. He liked to watch the fireworks, but he wasn't a big fan of the noise. Towards the end of the night both Michael and Christian were right in the middle of things.

Happy Birthday Christian - He's Two!

Christian turned two this year! What a big boy! I am still amazed at how fast time flies these days. We had a great time celebrating his birthday with a family dinner and a giraffe cake (giraffe is Christian's favorite animal).
