Mommy's Helpers

I have been trying to get Michael to help around the house a little more. He showed an interested in helping me one day and I rolled with it!
Michael really enjoys helping me with prepare dinner and setting the table. Of course, Christian is never too far behind with his own way of "helping".

Learning about Animals

Michael's science class is centered on animals this month. He asked that I put some of his artwork online so he can share it with his family and friends. This Friday his class will be having their second field trip...this time they are going to the ZOO!

Family Fish Fry

Aunt Debbie and Mitch had the family over to their new home for a fish fry. Michael had a great time playing with his older cousins, and Christian enjoyed spending time with Pops. Aunt Debbie - your house is beautiful! We are so happy for you and Mitch!

Michael was able to convince Jason to play Bad Mitten with him. They really made a great team!

Michael and Drew - these two are good buddies!

Daddy and Christian just hanging out in the backyard.
Pops enjoyed seeing his grandsons! They spent a lot of time sitting on the boat launch waving as the boats passed.

It didn't take long for Christian to fall asleep. Watching the boats pass and the duck fly by must have been very exhausting for the little fellow.

Splish Splash !

Here are some pictures of the boys taking their bath one night this week. As you can see they got pretty carried away before I was even able to add the bubbles. Both Christian and Michael really like to splash...by the end of the bath there was water in the hall!

Happy Valentine's Day

Here is one of the art projects Michael brought home from school this week. We always look forward to putting his art on our fridge, but I decided to post it on the blog so we could share it with our family and friends. Great job Michael! What a beautiful heart!
We had a wonderful Valentine's Day this year! Michael helped me bake chocolate chip cookies for Daddy, Grammy, Grumps & Mimi.

He also decorated gifts bags for the cookies. He couldn't wait to deliver his "special treats" to Grammy's house.

Poor Christian spent most of the afternoon trying to enjoy his snack before Britney could get a hold of it.

Thanks to Grammy and Grumps for the books! We look forward to reading them all.

Once Daddy got home from work we decided to go out to dinner. Michael was quick to suggest CiCi's...it's his favorite place to eat these days. Who needs a romantic dinner when you can go to CiCi's for pizza with your beautiful children:)

Here is another one of Michael's art projects. He did a great job with this Valentine elephant!

Too Cute to Be "Tiger Bait"

This is a picture of Christian early one morning after a really long night of teething. He is working on his eighth tooth now! Notice his Tulane Green Wave shirt...it was a "joke" gift from a family friend.

This teddy bear has become one of Christian's favorite stuffed animals. He also loves his Big Bird and Elmo stuffed animals.

Weekend Fun!

Christian and Aunt Debbie

Just look at these boys...am I lucky or what!

Christian and Aunt Penny

The Horse Shoe Crew

Daddy and Michael

We spent Sunday in Covington with the Jaunets. It was Aunt Kim's birthday so they had a crawfish boil...the first one of the season!

Michael spent most of the time playing on the trampoline with his cousins, and Jason learned how to play Horse Shoes. Christian also has a lot of fun visiting with his aunts.

Fun at the Library

Our local library has "story time" every Thursday at 11:00 so I decided to take both boys. I knew Michael would really enjoy it, but I wasn't so sure about Christian. It turned out to be a lot of fun for both of them. They had a great time listening to the stories and signing the songs with the other children. They even had fun playing at the different stations located throughout the children's section.
Christian didn't know what to do with the letters at first, but it didn't take long for him to take them out of his mouth and put them on the board.

Notice the letters on the board behind Michael...he did a great job spelling out his name.
What a big boy!

It was no surprise that Christian picked out a book about dogs - that is his favorite word these days.

Happy Mardi Gras

The weather was nice this weekend so we took the boys to two parades on Saturday. They loved it! Christian liked the bands and Michael enjoyed catching toys from the floats. As you can see by the pictures, Michael is in a "funny face" phase.

Racing with Uncle Dave

Michael and Uncle Dave though it would be a good idea to have a race on the way to the parade route. The only problem was that Michael's pants kept falling down and his shoes kept coming untied. I had to post these pictures because they are just too cute!

Michael's First Field Trip

It's Mardi Gras in New Orleans. We are looking forward to a fun filled weekend of king cakes, beads and parades.

Michael and his buddy Jacob

Michael and his class went on their first field trip this morning. They walked to a nearby grammar school and watched the Pre-K and K students have their own parade. The weather was beautiful...but it was cold! Christian even enjoyed watching the parade go by.

Mommy's Sweet Little Boys

Daddy took this picture right after the boys had their baths. Bath time can get pretty crazy around here...especially if Daddy is the one giving the bath. He usually ends up with more water outside the tub then what is left in the tub, but Michael and Christian really enjoy themselves.
P.S. Look at Christian's curls...gotta love em!

Rainy Day Adventure

We had a fun day planned earlier this week...we were going to the zoo! Unfortunately, the weather was horrible and we ended up spending most of the day at home. After Christian had his nap Michael suggested that we go to the mall and visit the dogs at the pet store. He also wanted to go to Build a Bear. Here are some pictures of the boys during our trip to the mall.
