A Day at the Park

We had some cooler weather today so I decided to enjoy it while it lasted. I took the boys to the park so they could play hard and wear themselves out. Here are some of my favorite pictures.

After spending time on the playground we decided to take a walk. It didn't take long for the boys to find ducks and squirrels. I still can't believe how close they got to the duck.

Story Land at City Park

We took the boys to Story Land on Saturday and they had a good time. We were hoping to ride the train, but had to cut the trip short because of the weather. Here are some shots of the guys at some of their favorite spots.

I think this is too cute! Both Christian and Jason would be adorable firefighters.

First Day of School

Today was the first day of school for Michael and Christian. Michael will going three days a week and Christian will be attending two days a week. After dropping of the boys I felt like I was lost! There are times when I am dying for a break, but once I got the break I find myself missing them tremendously.

Hurricane Gustav

We ended up evacuating to David's apartment in Baton Rouge for Gustav. Unfortunately, Baton Rouge was hit pretty hard so we had no hot water and no electricity for several days. You can just imagine how much "fun" we all had. Thanks Uncle Dave for letting us come "visit"!

Here is a picture of Uncle Dave before he went swimming with his college buddies...only college students go swimming during a Category 3 hurricane!

This was one of Michael's favorite toys during the power outage... you can just imagine! The boys also enjoyed making shadow animals with their flashlights.

Notice the bottle of "Starter" fluid in David's hands. He must have used the entire bottle to get the pit going. At one point the flames were at least one foot above his head.

Orange Beach - Family Vacation

Here are some pictures from the summer family vacation. We all had a great time playing and the beach and swimming in the pool. The boys were so excited that their Uncle David was able to spend a couple of days with us.

These pictures were taken at the Pirates Cover Putt Putt course.

This is Micheal after doing a Cannon Ball. He was so impressed with himself and we were glad to see that he like going under water.
